Every woman invests a lot of time and funds in buying the perfect jewelry for herself. No matter which jewelry you have bought, it needs some periodic maintenance. Every type of jewelry requires a varied approach when it comes to being clean. From silver to gold, from diamond to gems, there is a definite way which you MUST follow to clean each of these.
Diamond jewelry is one of the most intricate and the toughest form of jewelry. To clean any diamond jewelry including earrings, rings, necklaces, and chains, the first step of the cleansing process would be to soak them in a solution of one cup clean, lukewarm water and 1/4th cup of ammonia solution. After you have soaked the jewelry for over fifteen to twenty minutes, you must proceed by scrubbing the jewelry with a clean and light bristled toothbrush. After scrubbing, all you need to do is soak the jewelry in some lukewarm water and then wipe it off with a soft cloth. Voila! Your diamond jewelry is now as good as new!
Gold jewelry can be cleaned entirely using a microfiber cloth and dishwasher. Firstly, you need to take a small bowl and fill it with warm water. Soaking the jewelry in this warm water for ten minutes would help to loosen up all the dust and grime and therefore make it easy to be cleaned. After doing so, add a spoonful of mild dishwasher soap in another bowl of warm water. Immerse the gold jewelry into this solution and scrub it lightly using a toothbrush having fine bristles. After you have carried out this step, all you need to do is wipe the jewelry off with a microfiber cloth. Ahoy! Your gold jewelry is now squeaky clean!
Silver jewelry ends up looking untidy because of a layer of tarnish. Saltwater cleaning is an excellent way to ensure that your silver jewelry gets cleaned properly without any hassles. To clean silver jewelry correctly, all you need to do is submerge the jewelry into a bowl of warm water and a tablespoon of salt. Add a few pieces of aluminum foil to this solution. The formula of saltwater and aluminum will help to remove the layer of tarnish from the surface. Submerge the silver jewelry into this solution for not more than five minutes. After you are done, wash the surface off using running cold water and wipe it dry using a soft cloth. Your stunning silver jewelry is now all set to be worn!
