Old school jewellery designs that never go out of the style

Who does not want to stand out from the crowd? If you are a woman, there are so many ways to do that. You can add some accessories and you are halfway there. When it comes to the accessories, how can one forget about the Jewelry? There's a golden rule, that definitely applies to the Jewelry in India- Old is Gold. The older, the better. Not only modern women are opting for the old jewelry, Bollywood is trying to avail this opportunity. Most people in India take their
jewellery tips from our Bollywood. When a character is portraying the regional and historical role, the traditional ornaments they use comes into the limelight and eventually everyone aspires to adapt to that particular look. Be it The Jodha, Mastaani, Umraao, Paaro, Padmavati, or, our all-time favorite Anarkali. I'm sure we all have drooled over these looks from time to time. Let's have a look on this traditional jewelry that's silently making their way to the top of jewellery trends 2018.

This movie will always be in everyone's heart who has watched it. The traditional Marwaari and Mughal jwelery soon became popular jewellery trends and had us hooked to this suave character of Jodha. It was a challenging task for all the jeweler designers associated with this high-budget movie. It took more than two hundred craftsmen to work tremendously for over 500 days. They used approximately 300-400 kg of precious stones and gold to create this look. Aishwarya portrays the Rajput princess Jodhabai & Hrithik as a Mughal emperor Jalaluddin Akbar in this movie. This movie left behind this traditional, one of a kind trend, even after so many years of release. Our Maharani Padamavati(Deepika Padukone), also wore this kind of heavy Marwaari jewelry.

The Sanjay Leela Bhansali's remake of Devdas in 2002 was a big hit. The jewelry worn by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit are still going strong in the latest jewellery trends. They're still in the game. How can we forget the Kundan-Choker necklace worn by Paro? Chokers are trending till right now.

The nose-rings, hair jewelry, jhumkas, embellished turban with pearls and uncut diamonds are a few things, to begin with. Another Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani showcased unique jewellery trends. These looks are all over the Maharashtra. People happily admit having accepted these trends.

Here comes our show-stopper, guys. None other than the iconic Anarkali, played by the gorgeous Madhubala. Madhubala's heavy jewellery design in the film is the kind, that would leave immense bruises of one's body. It weighed a lot. Not to mention, the Anarkali Kurtis are still a huge hit. This movie was one of those few films, which set a different standard for our Bollywood Industry. The jewelry used, made a way in everyone's wishlists. Is Pyaar Kiya to Darna kya playing in your mind, as well?
